Terms of service

1. What Traveluz is

Traveluz is an independent award-seat search tool. We help travelers find and compare the cost, in miles, of redeeming seats across loyalty programs. We show availability information that we collect and refresh periodically.

We are not a travel agency and we don't sell flights. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any airline or any mileage or loyalty program. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

2. We don't book or guarantee availability

We don't book, hold, issue or guarantee any seat. Award availability changes constantly and may differ from what your program shows at the time of booking. You always redeem yourself, directly in your mileage program.

The figures shown (miles, taxes, fees, times, airlines) are indicative estimates and may contain errors or be out of date. Always confirm final conditions with the program before redeeming.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the service lawfully and not to:

• Scrape, copy or resell our data in bulk, or use it to build a competing database.
• Overload, disrupt or attempt to access the service without authorization.
• Share your account so that several people use a single paid subscription.
• Use the service for fraudulent, abusive or illegal purposes.

4. Subscriptions and renewal

We offer a free plan and paid plans billed monthly or yearly. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period using the saved payment method, unless you cancel before the renewal date. Prices may change with prior notice; the new price applies from your next renewal.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime from your account; your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for, with no further charge. Because this is a digital service available immediately, payments already made are generally non-refundable, unless the law of your country requires otherwise or in the case of a proven billing error.

6. Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Traveluz is not liable for indirect damages, lost miles, bookings that didn't materialize, price changes, or decisions made based on the information shown. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the three months before the event.

7. Changes to the service

We may add, modify or remove features, programs or routes at any time to improve the product. If a change materially reduces a paid plan, we'll give you reasonable notice.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Colombia, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.

Privacy policy

Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Traveluz. For any request about your data, write to privacy@traveluz.com.

1. What data we collect

We collect the minimum needed to run the service:

• Account data: the name and email you provide when you register.
• Usage data: routes searched, alerts saved, plan, and basic technical logs (browser, approximate region) to keep the service secure and improve it.
• Payment data: handled by our payment processor; we don't store your full card number on our servers.

2. How we use it and legal basis

We use your data to create and maintain your account, run searches and alerts, process payments, provide support and meet legal obligations. The legal basis is performance of the contract with you, your consent (for example for marketing emails), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and improving it.

3. Applicable regulation

We process data under Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012 (habeas data) and its implementing decrees. For users in the European Union, we also apply the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4. Your rights

You may exercise at any time your rights to access, rectify, update and delete your data, withdraw your consent and, where applicable, request portability or object to certain processing. To do so, write to privacy@traveluz.com; we'll respond within the legal timeframe.

5. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and, afterwards, only for as long as needed to meet legal, accounting or security obligations. It is then deleted or anonymized.

6. Providers and transfers

To run the service we rely on trusted third-party providers acting as processors under contract: a hosting and infrastructure provider, an email delivery provider and a payment processor. Some may process data outside your country, always with adequate safeguards. We don't sell your personal data.

We use cookies as described in the Cookies section.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file your browser stores so the site works well and remembers your preferences. We use as few as possible.

Necessary cookies

Essential for the site to work: keeping your session active after sign-in and remembering the language and theme (light/dark) you chose. Without them the service can't operate, so they don't require consent.

Analytics cookies

They help us understand, in aggregate and anonymously, how the site is used (most-visited pages, errors) to improve it. They don't identify you personally and only activate with your consent.

Managing them

You can accept or reject analytics cookies from the notice shown on your first visit, and change your choice anytime in the cookie settings. You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings, though some site features may then stop working correctly.
